Don't Just Hire any San Francisco Plumber
Get All the Answers to These Questions
Most of us are so busy with our hectic schedules and are so preoccupied with nagging problems that we are unable to
spare time for our home, whether it is under construction or simply undergoing a makeover. The result is that when
we move in we are put through terrible inconveniences, be it bad flooring, or a leaking faucet. Honestly, nothing
can be more frustrating than living in a home with chronic plumbing problems. 'Prevention is better than cure' goes
the saying. So it is better to take a keen interest in your home right from the start, rather than regret
later.
Plumbing is one of the most important aspects of home building. A slight defect or mistake on the part of plumber
can rob you of the joy of living in your sweet little home. So when you hire a plumber it is important that you
have a clear idea of what he intends to provide. Where ever you may live in the US, Daytona or San Francisco, you
can't do without hot water. Can you? Ask your plumber what kind of water heating system he is going to install.
Traditional storage water heaters inherently cause standby energy losses that add to your monthly electric bill.
Instead, insist on a tankless water heater that produces hot water instantaneously when you need it. This saves a
lot of money. Whether you opt for a gas or electric tankless water heater depends on a host of factors. Let your
plumber understand your requirements and determine the right type in consultation with you.
Two basic types of tankless water heater are currently in extensive use, Point of Use and Whole House. Discuss with
your plumber which one you want for your home. Point of use has limited capacity whereas whole house tankless water
heater can handle the demand for more than one fixture at a time. One unit of whole house tankless water heater may
fulfill the requirement of two shower fixtures at one time or a dishwasher, kitchen sink, and lavatory hot water
faucet at one time. Remember that different fixtures use different amounts of water. There are showerheads that can
use six times more water than a bathroom lavatory faucet.
There is hardly any change in our basic toilet system so you don't have much choice. Nevertheless, you have the
choice of colors and can even set you heart on beautiful, painted designs, which would be in harmony with your
bathroom's decor.
Ask your plumber what precautions he is taking or what kinds of material he using to ensure that you don't face
typical plumbing problems like a slow draining sink, a clogged drain, a leaky faucet or a running toilet flush,
etc. Faucets display an almost infinite variety of styles and finishes. Discuss with your plumber the type of
faucet that would suit your home best. Faucets come in almost countless varieties and finishes such as polished
chrome, polished and antique brass, polished and satin nickel, gold, acrylic enamels of various colors, stainless
steel, copper and mix-and-match combinations, etc. Kitchen and bathroom faucets are available in single lever,
pullout spray, high arch, offset handles, etc. It is a good idea to visit a reputed showroom with your plumber and
select the type of your liking. Whatever may be the types of faucet that you choose, never compromise on quality.
Make sure you take keen interest in even minute details of plumbing in your home so that when you do move in, you
won't be stepping into an unwanted swimming pool, but into paradise instead.
